Hello! I'm Gabi.
I'm a traditional and digital artist who has worked in visual design for the past five years, and I graduated from NYU with a degree in Game Design in 2022. In my time at the NYU Game Center, I've worked on digital games, board games, visual concepts, UI/UX design, and 3D modelling, but my passion for the arts goes back much further. I grew up on video games as a child, starting with PlayStation hand-me-downs all the way to my first Gameboy. I had played games like Sonic Adventure 2, and Legend of Zelda, as well as God of War and Assassin's Creed (which my father was not a fan of, haha). In high school, I spent four years developing my skills in ceramics and 2D art, with some of my pieces landing in the Coral Springs Museum of Art. I had also discovered RPGs such as Mass Effect and Elder Scrolls, whose artistic concepts inspire me to this day. Today, I am reexploring sculpting and 3D design in the form of ZBrush and Sculptris, though it's not quite the same as ceramics and glaze. At NYU, I learned how to apply my artistic skills and design capabilities into the production pipelines of game development. I've expanded my knowledge on the different types of styles used in creating assets, and have started a path in 3D modeling. I'm eager to get started on any project I get in my budding career, and learn as much as I can! |
